====Modify Static Routes====

The BlueOnyx server will use the "Server Gateway" that is configured in [[userguide:network:ethernet|TCP/IP settings]] as its [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Default_route|default route]].  In special cases, administrators may find it necessary to configure special static routes for target subnets.

Static Routes can be added by clicking the [[userguide:network:routemodify|Add button]].

**NOTE**: This option should only be used by skilled network administrators who are required to create special routing exceptions with their server.  Improperly configuring a static route can cause your server to go offline and become unavailable on the network.
